My favorites of the month ; August

I love to watch vlogs on youtube and something I always found an interesting topic is favorites of the month.
So I decided to do it on my blog.
I’m going to mention 10 things I loved this month for myself and for the kids.

Here they go;

1 My fit flops.
These are my number one favorite. I have the ones from AVON. I really love them. I love that they look a bit dressy and have a flower on them. I’ve had them on almost every day and walked in them a lot and I lost about 4 kgs in three weeks. My legs really slimmed down and I can now fit back into pants I used to wear more than ten years ago. Wonderful !

2 My sunglasses.
I got them from Claire’s on sale on the airport.
I love the sparkly stones on the side of them and wore them a lot last month as we had quite some sun.

3 My leopard print bag and wallet.
The brand is Lipsy but they are especially made for AVON. I ‘m crazy about leaopard prints and hot pink so I find this combo ‘the bomb’ I absolutely love them.

4 My wide, leather belts.
I bought them on the car boot sale for 1 euro each.
I love this type to wear with jeans and love the sparkly stones.

5 My black blouse.
(Sorry I have no pic at the moment) I bought it in St Vincents (thrift store). It's from Awear. I just love the style. I love how they are long enough to cover my stomach and they are black so they’re ‘slimming down.’

6 My Audi
I love having a big automatic car where the whole family can fit in properly and I love actually driving in it. I got this thanks to my sweet and generous mother.

7 Trike
I bought this for Nevaeh and just love it. Got it in Cheeverstown (Thriftstore) I always saw people walking with trikes and I kind of envied them. I really wanted one but they were so expensive new so I was really happy that I found a used one for 10 euro. Nevaeh loves being pushed while sitting in it and it somehow was a good exercise for my legs used in combination with the fit flops.

8 Lightweight Stroller
I got a simple stroller in V&D in the Netherlands where I was on a holiday. I got it to put Nevaeh in and travel back to Ireland with her and my luggage. It wasn’t easy but it worked.
And I’ve used it every day for three weeks after we came back. I wasn’t wild about the colour but it was just handy. I’ve walked a lot while pushing Nevaeh in this stroller.

9 Toddler Slide
I got this last year in Dunnes Stores for Yovannah. Nevaeh is big enough for it this year and loves it.
I put it inside when we were on our own in the house and she kept going on it.
I put it in the front yard this week and she, Yovannah and Ixora are having a great time with it when the weather is good.

10 Mineral water
As last favourite I want to mention; big bottles of mineral water.
They are actually my ‘all time’ favourite because I try to drink a lot of water because it is supposed to help with weight loss and it is just healthy. It’s also important on warm days to stay hydrated.
I'm getting these big ones at the Aldi for about 1,29. I also used it for making Nevaehs tea less warm.

These were ten of my favorites for the month of August.

Do you have any August favorites ?

Mummy, I need your 'pookie'

It’s World Breastfeeding Week from August 1st to August 7th 2013 and this year’s theme is Breastfeeding Support: Close to Mothers. You can read more about it on http://worldbreastfeedingweek.org . The focus is on community support, particularly in the form of peer-to-peer support. To show support for World Breastfeeding Week, the Irish Parenting Bloggers group is holding a blog march about varied breastfeeding experiences, including experiences with breastfeeding support in Ireland. This inspired me to write a post about breastfeeding as well. My breast feeding journey When I was pregnant with my first child, I decided that it would be a great idea to combine breast- and bottle feeding. But in the hospital they convinced me how healthy and important it was to breastfeed exclusively and then I decided to go that road. I got a breast pump to express milk so my baby could get a bottle with breast milk when I was out and about or for the scarce times that I would leave her

Nevaehs Summer Bucket list

Unfortunately, it seems that this year the Autumn weather has started earlier than last year.  And so I finally wanted to write a blog post to share Nevaehs Summer Bucket list with you. This Summer, we mostly stayed in the Netherlands. We only went to Germany to visit Moviepark Germany for two days. At the beginning of the break, the girls entertained themselves by playing games and watching youtube video’s on their tablets and laptop. This bothered me a bit, so one evening I called them all together to sit down and told them to make a bucketlist for the Summer. The first one to finish was allowed to have the last bit of ice cream. Nevaeh can already write a little bit but I told her that she could draw instead. So she made a bucketlist with 10 items on it. The actual bucket list got lost somewhere but we memorized what was on it and I’m glad to say that she has been able to do all the items on it. So here is Nevaehs Summer Bucket List. 1 Go to the playground W

An interview with ' moi'. Ask Away Friday with Meg from The Patchwork Paisley.

One of my favourite bloggers and my new blog friend Meg, asked me to participate in this new link up called Asked Away Friday hosted by Penny from The Real Housewife of Caroline County . Ask Away Friday is a swap of questions between two bloggers with the purpose to feature another blogger on your blog and to get to know each other better by asking and answering questions. I’m thrilled to be doing this with Meg. Meg is a mom of two, an art teacher, and she has an amazing blog which I know you will love as well. She is very talented and creative and loves DIY which you will notice if you visit her blog. To see the questions that I asked her and her answers, go to her blog The Patchwork Paisley . Below are the answers to the questions that she sent me.  1. What are 3 adjectives you would use to describe yourself?   This is hard. Friendly, honest, caring. 2. If you could travel back in time and live in a different era, where would you go?   Probably t
